So you think you want to be an internet marketer and rake in huge sums of money from your activity!

Select a popular product to sell, set up a few websites and then just sit back and watch the sales soar. Is that what you've been led to believe? Well, it doesn't work that way.

"Opportunities" are abundant in the marketplace. From the $29 opportunity to about $250, opportunities of every type are offered. The sales pitch makes it sound foolproof. Just buy our product or service, plug in your name and you're on your way to riches you never dreamed possible. The reason you never dreamed that riches were that easy is because they are not. Once you make your purchase, you usually find out the product doesn't deliver what was promised. You usually have to invest more money to make it work.

In fact, 95% of people who purchase these products never make a penny on line and most don't even take advantage of the money back guarantees because of the hassle of returning the product for a very modest refund. Therefore, the scammers continue to offer their wares to a very naive group of consumers.

Setting up business as a internet marketer requires the same basic skills as opening a brick and mortar business. The major difference is in capital investment. Most internet businesses can be opened for very little capital investment whereas brick and mortar businesses require considerable capital. Otherwise, the basics are the same.

You have to offer something that the marketplace wants to buy, you have to offer it at a competitive price, and you have to create traffic to your location in order to sell the item in quantity.

Selecting what you want to sell is pretty easy since there are many resources available for identifying the hot commodity of the day. Once you decide what you're going to sell you have to decide on whether to open a brick and mortar store or an internet store.

Should you choose to open an internet store, you have several choices. You could create a website or you could open an e-bay store for instance. In either case, you're going to have to get traffic to your store in order to make sales.

Getting traffic to your store is the marketing part of internet marketing. Since most people don't want to be "pitched" old advertising techniques just don't work as well as they used to. Attraction marketing is a new technique that works much better.

Attraction marketing is the process by which you provide value to visitors for free. You continue to provide free value to visitors until they come to like and trust you. Then you can present your product or service in way that makes them want to buy from you.

This is a new approach for the internet marketer and has already proven its potential.

My Lead System Pro is at the forefront of providing education using these techniques.

Best regards,

Doug
